Scott Farnsworth, Vice President of Technologies
With 17 years as a healthcare IT leader and many years of experience as a nurse and an EMT, Scott Farnsworth combines technology and business insights with practical medical experience and direct knowledge of the patient experience. This unique perspective has enabled him to help others make the successful transition to value-based care.
At Kindred Healthcare, Scott drove the conception, design and development of a proprietary Electronic Medical Record system that saved tens of millions of dollars; advanced the company’s Health Information Exchange strategy by enabling transmission of CCD & HL7 messages between the EMR and external systems; and pioneered development of Kindred’s mobile-based EMR capabilities. Early in his career, Scott worked as an emergency medical technician and as a nurse in hospital ICU/CCUs, on MedSurg floors, in nursing homes and in home health/hospice settings.
Scott holds a Master’s degree in Integrative Health Sciences from Capital University in Washington, D.C. and the PMP credential from the Project Management Institute. He also studied Psychology and Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University and Nursing at Platt College in Oklahoma.
Julie Boatright, Director, Business Development & Strategy
With extensive experience in helping organizations successfully transition to value-based care, Julie Boatright believes that we need an approach that is physician-focused and patient centered.
As the Humana director of provider engagement, Julie supported provider partnerships by moving physicians down the path to value, consulting on engagement results, leading joint operating committees and developing strategic plans to improve population health. She has also worked at CIGNA in value-based contract management and employer account management.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisville.
Jennifer Kuhn, Director, Finance
With a strong focus on helping practices achieve financial stability, Jennifer Kuhn applies her financial experience to help you make a successful transition to value-based care. Jennifer brings the strength of 18 years of leadership and consulting experience in health care finance roles
As a Finance Director in Humana’s Financial Analysis and Budgeting area, Jennifer gained critical experience in practice sustainability. Jennifer also served as the Corporate Financial Operations lead for Humana’s Pharmacy and Pharmacy rebate businesses and worked on various Medicare Part D new product implementations and acquisition integrations. Before joining Humana, Jennifer was a financial consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
A Certified Public Accountant with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Louisville, Jennifer is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs and Kentucky Society of CPAs.
Kevin McAdams, Regional Director, Southeast
With 18 years of experience in managed care with risk contracting models, Kevin McAdams is an expert in financial risk management. His skills and experience help our physician partners to make a successful transition to value-based care.
Kevin has broad experience in the healthcare field. He served as President/CEO for Cardio-Pulmonary and as a Regional Executive Director for Walgreens. Additionally, Kevin held leadership positions at Univita Health Care Solutions, MR Imaging, and South East Diagnostics.
Kevin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.
Todd R. Turbes, Executive Director, Kansas City
As an expert in clinical integration and physician engagement, Todd Turbes has the relevant experience needed to help practices make a successful transition to value-based care.
Todd’s gained first-hand knowledge of risk-based contracts as an Executive Director at the Swedish Covenant Managed Care Alliance where he led operations for a Physician Hospital Organization. As an Executive Director responsible for day to day business operations for an Independent Physician’s Association (IPA), Todd gained experience with financial risk management. Todd became an expert in care coordination when he implemented Hospital and Patient Reported Outcomes programs in over 20 hospitals and 40 surgeon practices as a Performance Management Advisor at Stryker Performance Solutions.
Todd earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas. Todd also held an Illinois Life and Health Producer License.
Chase Milbrandt, Vice-President, Business Development
As an expert in financial risk management and clinical integration, Chase Milbrandt is skilled in setting practices up for success as they transition to value-based care.
Chase gained critical provider engagement and risk contracting skills through executive management roles at Humana, Arcadian Management Services, Integrated Health Management, and Brim Healthcare. He has also held leadership roles in Managed Services Organization development, hospital strategic planning, and financial auditing.
Chase earned a Master of Biological Science from the University of Portland and a Bachelor of Arts from Pacific University.
